Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

  • Assisting with the preparation of the monthly/quarterly/annual consolidated financial statements and complete supporting analysis and reports for all the various reporting units
  • Assisting in the preparation of non-recurring or technically complex accounting transaction memos and the subsequent preparation of the corresponding journal entries
  • Assisting in the coordination with the External Audit firm and experts hired to assist with technical accounting assistance and positions
  • Assist with establishing, implementing and documenting policies and procedures
  • Assist with monthly analytical reviews of the consolidated financial results
  • Utilize computer applications to compile, retrieve and summarize accounting information for analyses and reporting purposes
  • Review compliance or coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations as necessary
  • General support on various projects as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification (will consider candidates in the process of obtaining their certification)
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience. Combination of public accounting and industry is ideal
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail with ability to complete tasks with high level of accuracy
  • Skilled at completing and recording financial transactions. Able to aid in developing information for financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Proficient in using accounting software and experience with an ERP system preferred
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel -- macros, v-lookups, and pivot tables
  • High level of organization and ability to manage to deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
  • High energy, outgoing, versatile and strong work ethic. Desire and actual demonstration to go to the next level
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work with all levels of management and employees
  • Strong commitment to providing excellence in client service and a demonstrated ability of producing high quality results
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
