Our Lodge, opened in December of 2017 and is the 15th lodge with the Great Wolf Brand. We are just minutes from the Mall of America, the largest mall in the United States and a short transit ride to Minneapolis/St. Paul downtown.

Minnesota is known for its 10,000 lakes and has more shoreline than California, Florida and Hawaii combined. We are known for our arts and culture community and have the largest regional playhouse in the US as well as the largest urban sculpture garden.

Retail Supervisor

At Great Wolf, the Retail Supervisor assists in the planning and execution of daily operations of the retail outlet(s). The Supervisor coordinates staff and ensures achievement of operational objectives and maximization of retail profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operation of all retail areas including gift shops, arcade, attractions, vending, and any other revenue producing venues
  • Oversees opening and closing of locations
  • Assists in merchandising functions including store & arcade display and design, gift shop, arcade & attractions inventory receiving, stocking and physicals, merchandise pricing & signage
  • Manages labor, COS, & expense budgets per direction of Retail Services Director or Managers
  • Oversees and assists sales functions including POS system, cash handling, and daily reporting
  • Assists with orders and maintains supply levels in all Retail Services areas of responsibility
  • Oversees the retail outlet staff, setting daily assignments/schedules, attendance, and training and developing staff for career advancement
  • Leads and/or assists management with personnel matters relating to assigned staff such as; recruiting decisions, performance management, discipline, investigations, and safety
  • Delegates tasks to accomplish shift goals


Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Some High School education or equivalent
  • Experience creating and maintaining documents with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Minimum of 1 year previous retail experience

Desired Qualifications & Traits

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a lead/supervisory role
  • Previous retail experience in a resort/hotel environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve conflict
  • Excellent management skills including conflict resolution, coaching, development and teamwork

Physical Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist
